Young Life International starts with concerned adults who spend time building bridges of authentic friendship with young people - where they are, as they are. We listen to their stories and learn what's important to them because we genuinely care about their joys, triumphs, heartaches and setbacks.
The only thing that limits the extent of our influence on young lives in the CTHBW area is the number of adults who are actively engaged in this mission.
Volunteer leaders.
Our volunteer leaders enter the world of teenagers, focusing on what matters to them: fun, adventure, friendship and a sense of significance. In doing so, they earn the privilege of talking to teens about something that we believe matters most of all: the truth about God and His love for them. We always have room for more leaders but, especially right now, we need female leaders.
Committee
We have a role for every adult in a community who gets excited about young people hearing of God's love for them.
We are looking for adults to serve in ways like:
Prayer team — we entrust our success to the One we so passionately tell kids about, so if you have the desire to pray for us and with us, we are grateful.
Event support — planning and executing fundraisers and informational meetings, from banquets to barn-dances, from auctions to quizzes.
Helping with financial support — YL Hoddesdon is financially supported almost exclusively by local families, businesses and our churches, so we need help finding those people, engaging them and thanking them.
Leader care — whether it is making them a meal or praying with them, we want our leaders working with teens to know they've got a team cheering them on.
Community relations — when the right people know the right things about Young Life -- from pastors to head teachers to parents -- the mission prospers.
Logistical support — stuffing envelopes, data entry, accounting help, newsletter writing -- you name it, we could use your skills!

“BEHIND THE SCENES” A Fundraising Banquet.
16th March 2019 at Bishops College, Cheshunt.
We would love to have representatives of our churches host tables at this spectacular event.
